DSTV Stream ad issue

Has anyone notice that dstv now is experimenting with in app ads so they start are starting to push ads while watching on dstv stream.

The timing sometimes are off so they cut off some of the action on live sports.

When you watch on dstv satellite or pirate iptv streams those ads doesn't show so it looks like in app ads.

The problem is that despite this, their prices are high I don't understand how they ask for these amounts of money for a service like this.

I wonder whether the aim of this change is mainly improved ad targeting based on user preferences/watch history.

Other than that I struggle what use this would have. Or am I missing something obvious?

Will keep an eye out for this when I'm watching.
