DStv streaming service - No launch date has been set

as much as I despise all that mono choice stands for if they provide a reasonably priced, working streaming service I will most probably sign up. That being said I don't think the chances of that happening are much, they are a bunch of dinosaurs that are as willing to innovate as the Anc are willing to listen to criticisms.

DSTV is c****p. The reruns are unbelievable. I would only like their Sport channels. The rest they can keep. Netflix is No1. Showmax buffers so much I have given up on it. I doubt if DSTV will have a launch date soon. Monopolies are not known for embracing change quickly and they will milk their current offering. Maybe they should think of giving the current guesthouse and restaurants offering to the public as well. (Highly unlikely). I will probably let DSTV go before the end of the year. They forget that Amazon is now bidding on showing sport as well. One of these days they are going to sit with less than a million viewers.

Just a quick question...when doing Catch up, you have the option between SD and HD quality...usually HD was around 3 gigs...now I am seeing between 6 and 8 gigs ...why?

Have checked with a few others who make extensive use of CU and CU+
Normal file sizes are between 1.8 and 3 GB.
Some have noticed a 50% increase in file sizes of late. They believe the increase is related to most downloads now being HD and no longer SD.

Will post more f I get more info. I cant access as CU etc as I am not a premium sub anymore
