Hi there

I wanted to find out from all the MyBroadband members if anyone else is experiencing this audio/video sync problem? Everything other than adverts is out of sync by at least 3 seconds. The audio lags behind terribly.

I wonder if there is a Multichoice representative on here as on the DStv forum I can't do anything even though I'm registered and activated my profile. I can't even access my own profile as I do not have 'sufficient access privileges'. What a joke!

So yeah, any feed back would be appreciated as what is the point of a new channel if it doesn't even work. I have tried a soft reboot as well as a hard reboot so the problem is not on my side and I am not the only one I know of experiencing this problem. Just wanting to find out if it is nationwide really or region/area specific.

Channel showing cricket at present? If so, it's fine here.

It can't be a regional issue with a satellite broadcast, as it's exactly the same feed being received by any dish within the given satellite's footprint. It might be limited to a certain model of decoder - I've got the current 2P jobbie and that seems OK.

It'd be more effective if you post on the dstv.com forum. I'm it's been raised there if it's wide spread. There was some comments on the IPL thread here.

I am watching it now and it is horribly out of sync. I am not sure what the decoder codes are. I have the smaller HD PVR (not the original 4 tuner, the one made after that).

When I log into DStv.com forum, I see there is someone else also having this problem but yet Multichoice says there is nothing wrong. What could cause this issue then for me and others in my predicament if it is not SuperSport?

If you read the rest of my post you will have read that I am unable to do so. I can't even access my own account because I suddenly don't have sufficient access permissions according to the error message that keeps popping up.

It is a bit weird... the smaller, newer decoder is the 2P - the same I've got. Audio is spot-on with the video.

What's your audio setup? Perhaps the delay is somehow induced by a specific amp or something? Just purely speculating, but there's no issue here.

I have no setup. Its literally my tv connected to the decoder via HDMI. thats it. using tv audio speakers.

Sorry scan reading.

Quite peculiar. I can then only assume that the audio feed on the HDMI itself is out of whack... I run an RCA cable to my amp's digital input, so I'm not using the HDMI audio stream.

I see there are complaints on the DSTv forum that the problem was present with the F1 qualifying as well. It most definitely wasn't the case in my living room.

Nope. I just tried via RCA and exact same problem.

Try changing the language to language option 2 of 3, thats what i normally do when my 2p (seldomly!) has audio problems

yes, dstv even posted a msg on the bottom of the screen (SSHD2 cricket) saying that you must swap to audio channel 2 of 3 due to the delay..

I just got off the phone with support. After nearly 25 min or whatever, the problem got sorted. I have no idea what the heck they did but suddenly my audio came right.
