DStv vs Toptv - Is is time to switch.

I have TopTV for over 6 months wrong now and I enjoy it. Go for it. Its not a bad investment and even if you dont like it, you're not going to lose much money.

Discovery Channels are cool, Movie channels are coming right. Fox is lekker
 
it is too early to switch to TTV. Their shows are old and there are lots of repeats
 
I get at least 3 hours of viewing per night out of TopTV. Mostly from Fox Entertainment. Love Simpsons, Family Guy and Scrubs. I don't mind that they are older seasons. When repeats pop up I switch over to one of the Discovery channels. I dont bother with their movie channels at all.
 
I have dstv at the club and toptv R99 at home.I'm not home much but toptv's picture is outstanding.Sometimes it looks like hd.
But the cricket world cup looks terrible on sabc.
 
I also noted that TOPTVs picture quality is really superior on most channels. Like HD as "Biggie" says. I wonder why that is.

TopTv is pretty simple with content offerings okay, but not something you could expect to be entertained with all the time.

What I hate is the ManU channel (ffs, a whole channel devoted to a soccer team?), the ton of music channels (though my siblings love it!!!) , and the fact that MSNBC only flights MSNBC promos during commercial breaks. The MSNBC thing drives me nuts, watching the same promos for the same news shows you're watching at the moment (this is because the adverts that are usually flighted in their place are based for an overseas market and not ours, therefore not relevant).

Otherwise TopTv is really cool. Just wish they would swap a few music channels and radio channels for National Geographic.
