Good day everybody. We replaced our old LG TV with a new Samsung over the weekend.

We have one cable running from the xtraview decoder to a very old box tv in one room and then the new Samsung in another room.
The picture quality on the box TV is perfect whereas the quality on the new Samsung is not good at all. The cable seems to be in order, but I remember a thread on this forum a few years ago mentioning that you can lower the frequency from the decoder to cater for older tv's, which I did a few years ago. I think this might be the problem, but I cannot find the setting to change this back.
Any advice will be much appreciated.
Thank You

When you say old box TV do you mean a CRT TV?

Your decoder is probably outputting at 480i, your new TV is 1080p, if you set your decoder to 1080p then the CRT Tv wont look right.

I cant remember if you can even change the resolution if you are getting the picture signal over coax.

Maybe @Geoff.D can assist.

Well lets begin with what cable runs to the new tv. Your decoder should be close to the new tv and it should be connected with a HDMI cable to the new tv
