if you buying them for Xbox backups you are better off with the R20 Verbatims or so i have heard :)

Dvd's overpiced i think

dual = 9GB? at R20 = R2.20 per MB
1TB seagate = 796.86 = R0.78 per MB
1.5TB = R1080 = R0.72 per MB

you can buy two x 1.5TB's(one for backup) and still save.. :D

lol
but when 1.5TB fails and it was your backup
u lose 1.5TB
wen a dvd breaks u lose 9gb

i got a 50 pack of 8.5gb for something like R10 each

Used 4 different makes (HP, Verbatim, Memorex, ELotus) of DVDR Dual Layer's & all works fine for Xbox360 & everything else from what ive heard.
Also goes for about R100 for pack of 10.

Where do you get yours from in PE? Chris/Lillian?

U on the ball there moggie, been getting stuff (consumables) from them for few years now ;)

True, they got business off with good prices & excellent service & look how they've grown.
Now if only ADSL pricing would follow suit...

but where ?, i am getting "prodata" for about R9 each, but i dont know how compatible these dvd's are going to be, and unfortunately i have to buy a 50pack to test :-(

I bought some in cape town, works fine with Xbox backups, can send you the details tonight...paid R90 or R100 for 10.

i bought the "prodata" dvd's, i wil try making a copy of one of my "legally owned" xbox games and let you know, i am just as curious, i found another site that sells PrinQ disks, for cheap, one of my friend stold me he can copy and play xbox games on prinQ dvd's, the problem with this site is you have to add R100 shipping : http://www.intertronic.co.za/FindCategory.aspx?SelectedGroup=Disks:+CD&DVD/R/RW/Floppy

Do you have a Samsung SH-D163, drive ? ;-)

nope, i don't, i have a LG GH22LS30, and at work n have a no-name writer in my HP machine, i know for a fact the one at work can write dual layer dvd's, i have copied a few games on Ridata dvd's, i have never tried with my LG, and i have also never tried with these "prodata" dvd's, why, do you know something i don't?, do these dvd's only work on the samsung SH-D163???? :confused: :cry:
