Dual monitors - Worth it?

+1 That program is awesome! I'm even thinking of buying the Pro Version.

If you're gonna buy, perhaps have a look at Ultramon as well. It adds buttons to your window you have one-click access to move a window from one display to another or stretch it across all your displays.

Dual setup FTW. Now if only I can find another 953BW...

Okay, noob question... Apart from having a huge screen setup and looking really nice, what other advantages does dual-screen setup hold in store for a bloke like me, who does a lot of spreadsheet work, programming, webbrowsing and (not that often anymore) gaming?

Well, borrow a screen from a friend for a week or so, get Display Fusion (or Similar) and see how awesome it is. You'll almost feel blind if you have to work on only one screen again.

Guys whats the difference between the 2333SW plus and the normal 2333SW?

On Kalahari they are different prices, *confussed*

Email the company, that's how I chose my LG. I sent them the list of monitors that I was looking at, and asked what's the difference. They sent a very thorough email back.

great idea watson, why didn't I think of that?

its about resolution and compartments for me... I have one big screen divided in compartments using a Autohotkey script.. Used to use 2 X 17 but this screen give me the same resolution

One FullHD 40" is a great idea, but the cost is a bit more prohibitive! R4k max. for 2x 23"/24" FullHD LCD's vs R11k-R15k for a 40" (unless you buy Sinotech or similar :) )

Agreed - and having 2 x 23" monitors for just under R4K is seriously not bad if you ask me.

I currently run dualscreen on my desktop machine, and as mentioned before, it's like losing a limb when only using one...

I also have my laptop next to them and run Synergy to link them over the network, so I effectively have triple screen. It's also a good no-cost option if you want dualscreen and have a desktop and a laptop.

I just bought one of those 2333sw plus's from kalahari.

I havent used the non plus version so i may be wrong with a few things.

The contrast ratio on the plus is 50000 versus 20000 for the non plus.

The stand is dead easy to install, only one screw.

Its seems more matt than gloss to me. I don't get any reflections.

Cool thanks for that, ordered mine today so hopefully get it this week. How long did delivery take if I may ask?

Yeah the 2333SW is a matte screen, no gloss. I have the earlier one and the stand was an absolute ball ache to install, almost broke the dam thing :D

It took about three days to arrive at my place. Which is impressive as im south of durban and the screen went from cape town to bloem, then from bloem to durbs, and then finally on a deivery van to my place.
