I am just curious, I don't think I will implement something like this though.

Is it possible to have a LAN and Wi-Fi network connected to the internet on different networks at the same time and sharing the resources? Like LAN to fibre router and Wi-Fi to fixed LTE network, but not as failover.

What are you hoping to achieve?

Are you referring to load balancing aka sort of sharing the resources, resources being the internet?

Or using your default gateway to specify your internet break out?

On decent firewalls, you can have WAN1 (fibre) give out internet on the LAN1 port to switches. Then WAN2 (LTE) give out internet on the LAN2 port which i assume will be an AP or a switch with AP's connected to it.

Thanks guys for satisfying my curiosity.

I have strange thoughts while on the loo

How I understand the request is he has 2 internet solutions that he wants LAN and WiFi to share.

Not as a fail over though.

Constant internet sharing.

So off the bat, I can only think of a load balancer.

Yes, the way I said it is not failover, they are both active.

Just remember to set WAN1 to use WAN2 as Gateway and vice versa. This will give you near instantaneous response times.
