Do you think MTN will ever roll out this service.. ??
I makes a hell of a lot of sense for the business user... cause i dont want to have to carry 2 phones....
AFAIK = Dual cards are available, the catch is it has no CLI & Data
Only for calls and it needs to be for a car kit.

Most phones actually support the multiline facility but the networks don't carry the service at present.
The services is catered for in the ESTI standards (can't remember which one now) but the actual name is ALS (Alternate Line Service).
On Nokia's you use the # key to change between the lines. The major touted advantage, is that you have one line for bus. and one personal, you will receive incoming calls on both lines, but you select which line to make calls on (and can easily allocate bus and private accounts!). on some phones you can choose to mute a single line or forward everything to VoiceMail.
Problem is, unless you can enable your phone, the features are automatically locked out for South Africa, two things are needed, the phone must support and have the feature activated (it's deactivated in South Africa on Nokia, but can be enabled with software) and the network must activate it.
To test if you phone supports it and it's activated, press and hold the # key, on Nokia a two is displayed in the top lefthand corner indicating that ALS selection is being sent to the network (your outgoing calls won't work as ALS is not loaded on your profile).

On all my Nokia's the # key activates silent mode. Listed in the manuals as well. #

see Marcin's page at http://www.mwiacek.com/, you're looking for something called Gammu and the option your need to run on your phone
I think it redirects to gammu.org nowadays, anyhoo... the option you're looking for is 'nokiasetphonemenus' (but read the manuals).
