Why don't we have any mainstream phones like Samsung or LG or Sony that has dual-sim? Why always some Chinese device?

I wouldn't go as far as saying anything will do. There are sub R1500 phones that are frustrating even if you're only using whatsapp and SMS. The Gobii is an absolute pleasure for whatsapp and sms and quite a bit more.
It really is an under rated gem.

Because the networks import the phones?
The networks don't like bringing them in. Would you if you were in charge of one of the networks?

They all have, they just don't sell them here in SA.

Will we see it in South Africa? Never.
You could try Hauwei they might have dual sim phones readily available in SA. Not "big" name but they are getting very close to the big guys now.

Would much rather go Moto G/E . Competent hardware , and I think software will be incredibly important for a good user experience. Motorola certainly has an advantage in that arena.
