so Im looking for the rarest of the rare of phones,
finally had enough of the LG-G3 overheating and switching off mid call.

previously I had a Wileyfox swift Version 1 that worked brilliantly.

I've narrowed it down to the following phones:

Nokia 2.2

Galaxy grand prime plus G532F

Galaxy j7 Neo

and another wileyfox, the spark plus X

thoughts comments, suggestions?

must be dual sim, removable battery
and a bonus if its got a community behind it that can keep it updated for a long time.

as I tend to keep phones for the longest time imaginable, easily 4-5 years.

Lol didn't you buy the phone just the other day?

yip, worked for a while then the random switching off just got too much for me,
need to get something that isnt so badly designed that it constantly overheats.
Root the phone, underclock the cpu.

Did it with my G4, as G4 the fast cores gave issues. So I disabled the fast cores and only used the 4 slow cores.

tried it , tried a different kernel, tried under-clocking, still had issues,
phone would lag so badly so eventually I just gave up.

sent the phone back, got full credit to buy something else.
now I'm trying to decide what to buy that is most like my stolen wileyfox swift.

looking at a blackview phone,
saw a removable battery model.

and saw plenty of doogee phones,
but am always concerned about battery replacement and how easy/simple it is.

that to me is the hardest part, as its quite easy to find a dual sim phone,
less easy to find one with a removable battery, they seem rarer than hens teeth.

Most of my Doogees I replaced within 18 months of purchasing and the batteries still work fine. Probably a 5% loss? My last one I had (S50) for almost 2 years. It has sat in the draw for about 6 months now and my son is using it because he broke his screen. Battery still very good.

Never had to change a battery in any Doogee phone over many years.
