Durban Road Name Changes

Has anyone living in Durban seen the newspapers lately regarding the latest set of road and building name changes? I am all for change but this is now going a bit too far. We are now going to have a road named after Fidel Castro. Come on ANC, talk about pulling the wool over our eyes!

Why don't these officials and politicians stop wasting the limited resources available and concentrate on providing essential services. If all their constituents have proper services, housing, roads and such like they can change the names ad nauseum as far as I'm concerned provide it comes out of their over inflated salaries. But if they do their jobs properly they would be too tired to think about stupid things like name changes.

@ VanZan - I could not agree with you more. Naming Kingsway Road in Toti after some bomber that killed people in the same area. That is complete insanity. All this money can be spent on curing people of terrible diseases and helping people to eat and get off the streets. Shame, what a mess we are all making. Especially this sorry government!!!!!!
