Hi, I managed to purchase a Samsung P910 from one of the MTN outlets, however they do not have any DVB-H USIMs for sim-swapping:mad:

When and where can I do a sim swap as I cannot watch the DSTV trial?


Anyone from MTN please help:confused:

As far as i know a 32K should work. I'll check and keep you updated....
 
DVB-H sim

Hi Pitbull, I'm using a 3G MTN card and when going into TV mode, the phone says i do not have a compatible sim.

Could you pls provide me with your area that your in so I can locate a Usim for you. You are 100 % in the fact that you need a USIM to access DVB-H

As per our discussion the store you got your sim from will dispense one to you on your arrival. It sounds like there was a miscommunication between the store and the head office. I'm glad to confirm it has been sorted. Pls feel free to contact me as you have my contact number.

Nashua Mobile DVB-H USIM problems

I am also having problems obtaining this USIM

Nashua insists that it is a normal 3g sim card and i keep telling them that the phone tells me the sim is not correct.

i have also tried getting hold of mtn and they also seem to have no clue.

where did you swop your old 3g sim for this new one. ?

will they swop my even if i am a nashua mobile customer.

Hi Mark.

Nashua has it all wrong you need what is branded as a TV sim. MTNSP have ordered the phone with a T.V sim for each Handset. Unfortunatley I work for MTNSP and would be able to help you with a Nashua sim.

Yeah it's a USIM but has TV on the front of the sim without that sim the DVBH phone will not work

Thanks for the quick responses.

i have again tried calling Nashua Mobiles advanced helpdesk and again they tell me they dont have these sim cards and basicaly have no idea what im talking about. I have been with MTN for a very very long time. is there no way for me to contact them directly and not through Nashuas amazingly up to date staff to explain my problem and perhaps get a sim from them. I purchased this phone cash and this is getting annoying. when the advanced help desk of your service provider has no clue what you are talking about its time to start worrying.
