I tried dvdfab but my pc keeps shutting down. What will the reason be for this?

I selected rip and set it to avi and it starts but shuts down after 10 min.

The temperature of your cpu.

Google and install 'real temp'

Install DVD Shrink and just start ripping. Seriously, it's much easier.

Laptops can get very hot, most likely this isn't your problem but when a PC just shuts down its one of the symptoms of overheating.

Video conversion usually runs your cpu at its maximum load and puts more stress on it then most apps.

Yes, it is possible, but it seems like this is happening at the same time each time. If it was heat it wouldn't be so consistent.

Yes correct, doesn't sound like a heat problem then. Is the program asking you to purchase it? Sounds like it's restricting you to a limit, could be it's a trial.

Its a trail version, I looked for dvdshrink but cant find it. After it shuts down it will start up and no issues, just when I use dvdfab it does it.

I use AppGeeker DVD Ripper, have never failed for me.

It has a lot of presets for common screen sizes. quick and easy.

I have used the Slysoft products (AnyDVD / CloneDVD2) for years. They never fail ...

Use DVD Decrypter to remove protection from the dvd, which stores it in a folder on your hard drive. Then use Handbreak to convert it

Trying to rip Bob the Builder episodes from DVDs. 3 or 4 eps per disk. In the example above Ep1 starts at 0:41 on the file VTS_04_1 and ends a few minutes into the next vob file VTS_04_2

Ive tried Handbrake, Fairuse and DVD Decrypter but cannot seem to get anything to separate the episodes. I hope Im making sense?

After did decrypter, I always used to use Nero to rip TV episodes to disk. Makes them as mp4.

But in none of the programs discussed here can you select by episode.
