DVD-ROM acting up.

Hi there.

I have an LG GH24NS95 DVD ROM that is misbehaving.

It reads games on DVD, Audio CDs and Region 1 Video DVDs but fails to open any Region 2 DVDs. The Drive region is set to Regions 2 though. The drive is little over 12 months old.

Any suggestions

EDIT: Seems the problem is not region related but just doesnt read the DVDs at random.

Positive.



It opens Region 1 discs in My Computer, then gives a region error once Media Player opens. Region 2 discs show up as empty in My Computer. All other discs open normally.

Try change it to another region then back to 2.

This is region in Windows. What DVD decrypter says?

Try see if the ROM has new firmware available and flash.
