DVD rom error

since yesterday it gives me a "DMA-driver error, CRC error" when i try to burn a dvd.

any ideas how to fix it?

Wierd. Are you running Vista or XP? I've Googled the issue and found some possible fixes:

SATA or IDE drive?

Maybe try pop onto another controller...

Probably the drive though, quite unlikely its software related

@merc: not yet, i'll check it when i get home

You can try uninstalling the IDE device under device manager. It might require a reboot but that's worth a try.

try put it on a different SATA port... ?
