Hi guys, hope I'm on the right place.my daughter 8 years old received a Apple 8gig ipod from a friend as a present. The problem is at 39years old I must put everything on it for her which is the problem. To put cd's and music on is not a problem i managed it but how do I put a movie or a DVD onto the ipod using itunes. Please help me out here :confused:I dont know what to do.

Handbrake is a pretty simple one click process that should encode most dvd's into an ipod friendly format.

Yeah use Handbrake, and select the Apple profile on the right to select which iPod it is.

My word! 8 years old and she's got an iPod

nice friends you have!

I downloaded Clone2go and add some movies to it,I'm using the free version is it fine? Now I must stil connect the ipod to it to see if I can copy it over, its not easy at my age.I also see that when you want to add the vide in the DVD drive you must open it and import the video files only, not the whole DVD[am I right?]Think I must work according to this http://www.mydigitallife.co.za/inde...94&Itemid=43&mosmsg=Thanks+for+your+vote!What is going to give me headaches is the codecs,I dont have a clue what I must do.I've also downloaded SUPER [http://erightsoft.podzone.net/GetFile.php?SUPERsetup.exe],this seems even more difficult.

1, Rip the DVD, DVD Fab Decrypter works well
2, Create an AVI file, Handbrake works well
3, Drag the AVI file into iTunes
4, Sync the iPod with iTunes
5, ????
6, Profit.

Guys thanks for the help, that was easy.I put the DVD into pc and go to DVD Fab and select ipod and hit start,DVD fab converts it to Mp4.When finish I put ipod on and when itunes open I click on my name go to movies then to file add movie and look for the movie from the location saved and voila.Just one thing, some movies do not want to copy and another thing I find out is when you delete the movie on the pc the next time you sync with the ipod the movie dissapears from the ipod.

Its a common mistake people make with iPods. Every time you plug your iPod into your computer it syncs with your computer. If something was previously on your computer and you delete it then iTunes will delete it from your ipod next time you sync.

As for some discs not copying, some DVD's have better copy protection than others. Where there's a will there often a way though. Google the specifc title and copy protection and you'll probably find some answers.

No the DVD's is not even copy protected,I still have to find one that DVD fab can not remove.

Guys, why is it that some DVD's dont want to convert to MP4.Some of the movies I record on my DVD recorder I copy to a DVD and then copy it to the ipod but some others dont want to.
