DVD to PC / hard drive

Hi there MyBB,

I am busy copying my copying my son's cartoon DVD's to PC so that i can put on flash drive for him. I have been using Freemake Video converter. If i few the mp4/avi/mpeg file there is a lag between audio and picture (lips not syncing with words)

Is there any other free software that's user friendly that i can try to copy. i have even copied the video_ts files over to see if that's doesn't work better, but it doesn't. any software that can rip from video_ts files will also be appreciated

Handbrake. Bit of a learning curve, but works great.

If you know where to look... ;-) , then go have a look for DVDFab

Handbrake if you need compression.

MakeMKV if you don't need compression (will be faster than Handbrake but use a lot more space).

Last time I used the Freemake video converter I seem to recall seeing the process "Handbrake.exe" running at the time in the Task Manager, so I assumed it was just a wrapper, or different UI, for Handbrake...
