I'm looking for a DVI to component adapter for my ATI card. Anyone know where I can buy one or maybe have one that they're not using?

Something like this:

DVI is digital, Component video is analog. Their signalling is different (they represent the data in very different ways), and as such it is no small feat to convert between them. Yes, that adapter works, but only in certain ATi cards. This is because certain graphics adapters are able to output the signals that are required.

So, I have to ask the questions: What would you like to use it for, and what hardware are you using?

Yes, I know it only works with certain cards, but I have one of them that's supported, ATI 9800.

I want to use it to connect a pc to a tv with component ports. The quality of the composite is really bad and the tv doesn't have s-video ports.

Quovadis, thanks for the link, if I don't get a secondhand one, I'm going to buy that one.
