Anyone know where I can get a DVI to HDMI converter that supports 1080p in the Century City area or online before the weekend?

Thanks

Hope they will be of help. At least the Kalahari price should give an idea of what to expect.

got a reply already R45 excl. VAT.

I'll go by tomorrow hopefully.

DVI and HDMI should give the same quality, as both are digital. HDMI only have sound extra, if I'm correct. I think both support HDCP.

Hmm.... maybe I don't need the adapter then..just got to find my damn box that came with the graphics card...it did say HDTV on it.

HDMI, DVI and HDCP
Combined with HDCP, DVI was the standard for digital television until a few years ago when HDMI was introduced.
Yes, you will want to purchase a television with DVI/HDCP or HDMI/HDCP. In my opinion, the best purchase option for a TV or any consumer electronics device (DVD player, DVR, set-top box) is one with HDMI/HDCP. DVI is an old format, and is secondary to HDMI. HDMI has room for growth, and because it has support from some of the major consumer electronics manufacturers, it’s hard to see it being replaced in the next decade or so. Regardless, buying a TV without either input would be a bad decision if you want to ensure usability of the TV a decade from now. Some televisions come with both inputs.

Thanks.

Just trying to figure out how to get my damn media center to output at FullHD res, the LCD only has VGA-in, which supports up to 720p (13xx by whatever) res.

damn graphics card only outputs at 1080i... guess I need a new one.

You can try ZC Video to Cell Phone Converter,It supports most of popular video movie formats, including AVI, DivX (*.divx; *.div), Xvid (*.xvid), MPEG (*.mpeg; *.mpg), WMV (*.wmv), ASF (*.asf), ASX (*.asx), Real Video(*.rm;*.rmvb), VCD Format (*.dat), Quick Time Format (*.mov), FLV (*.flv), MP4 (*.mp4; *.mpeg4), MKV (*.mkv), 3GP (*.3gp;*.3gpp;*.3gp2;*.3g2), Decrypted VOB(*.vob), Nullsoft Video(*.NSV) .

wtf? Illiterate or spammer?
