no first dx10 cards around end of next month

g80 or something

but only vista can use dx10 as far asi know
 
Yes, it looks like Micros$ft will force you to upgrade to Vista - DX10 will only be available for Vista, from what I've been reading about it.

The DirectX 10 cards will start surfacing next month, so don't buy any graphics cards now, you'll be crying next month & wasting your money.
 
And then you still need to wait another 6 months for the first games running on only Vista and DX10 to make their appearance.......
 
If they really had brains, they would release Halo 2 (for PC) the same day as Vista. Halo 2 will be using DirectX10 AFAIK, hence making it only compatible with Vista.

Same here, i'll probably just get togethe with a few people and collectively download it, sad I know. Or buy a copy somwhere, but tose lame guys usually take forever to get things out..

seems they getting a bit hectic with the anti piracy thing now

but crackers will sort it out

why cant microsoft just sell it cheap like 500 bucks i would buy it

they would sell more copies and make more money but nooooooooooooo

I hope they make owning an illegal copy of Vista a pain in the neck for people like you.

Doesn't matter if it's expensive or not - if it's outside of your budget run something else.
People happily pay R2000+ for a graphics card and then moan about the cost of the OS ...

I last had a legit copy of windows 95..... That was back in the day when i was young and stupid.....O ja and Dady paid for it LMAO....

Yebo, yes!

I want to see a big increase in frame rates and a lot more eye-candy, before I upgrade again.

Was thinking of holding off on the Vista OS, but if you read about all the changes, new features supported, it will be worthwhile getting!

*Oh, and I'm gonna pay for mine, I've decided to become 'clean'. Still have a copy of XP Corporate Edition, but I bought a legal copy of XP Home and that's what I'm running now. Withous the OS, the hardware is not worth much.

I'll definately get Vista (buy) Is it backwards compatible with XP software? I can also say i have a legal copy of XP atm. :D ( a bit of double standards going here)
