Hey guys

So my fiance flying to Cape Town on Monday and returning wed.
She's flying weird times so no one can take her or fetch her when she arrives without taking off work so we decided to use a valet service at the airport.

We have to drop the car with one of their drivers at terminal B and then the driver takes it from there.

Has anyone used dynamic airport parking before ? or a valet service at the airport?

Just worried about leaving the car with a stranger.

I've only paid like R40 deposit so if u guys warn me against it, that's all I've lost.

Can't really find reviews on the net

Thanks

Where are you located? You can use the Myciti system as well. http://myciti.org.za/en/home/ has all the information.

Don't think it's an option as we stay in meyersdal alberton

A colleague used one of the valet services and her car came back damaged, and of course T&C's always apply

I normally just use the Super South parking which is off Griffiths Road. Its the same parking that these valet companies use anyway.

You will need to budget at least an extra 30-45min though. Shuttle runs every 15min from there to the terminal building.

We've used similar services (can't recall which one) at ORT twice last year. No complaints. Really dodgy that one them damaged a car though. I'd expect them to do a pre-inspection with the owner, clearly listing any defects.

OP, what have you picked? Just in case someone else visits this thread.

I've used APS in Cape Town a few times. Similar service. No issues. I've also just come back from a 2 week trip, but this time I just used the long stay parking. Much cheaper...

Lol I picked to call my boss and to take a days leave... went onto hello peter and checked that cars come back damaged etc so I didn't wanna take a chance tbh

whats wrong with the long term parking at the airport?
there is a shuttle service to the parking and back, so should be a breeze....

The benefits for me, were indoor parking over outdoor at the long-term, as well as having someone meet you at the airport to collect your car as well as meeting you at arrival, with your car.

I always use the long term parking at ORT. It's shaded parking and the security seems tight. Only shlep is having to wait for the shuttle. Serves it's purpose though and the cost is reasonable :)

The title of this thread is bugging me.

Parking, by it's very nature and definition, is static, not dynamic.
