do we have anything SA based like this???

Basically, it give u internet DNS so u can RDP to ur system anywhere at anytime, as long as u have internet.... :)

used it alot overseas...

I use it - but it would be cool if there's a local system in place.

Pity telscum's so expensive... :(

Hopefully with Neotel's imminent arrival, we'll be able to get one soon.

Axxess already offer such a service with their products.

yeah dyndns.org is awesome...
would it still connect, if i'm capped??? but have local access??

it suks living in a country thats only out to take whats in our pokets, rather than offer us better service at cheaper rates... :(

what could i use this dydns for?

how would it benefit me?

while at wrk monitor home network.... :)

while on holiday.... monitor home network... :)

basically, as long as home network is online, u can access from anywhere via internet and RDP ;)

dont kno personal benefits, for u...

but helps me, if I want a certain file or program can just mapp to my PC and copy via internet to wrk...

I had a free dyndns account pointing at a static IP. I changed over to a proper DNS server after the damn thing kept expiring every month. Just something to consider there.

I have been using dyndns.org for about 4 years. I can even access it with my capped account sometimes...

So bottom line dyndns works just like it should, no bells and whistles, with the free account, just the way I like it.
