E-toll prosecution surprise

Who is surprised by this?

Only the massively uninformed, surely? SANRAL needs to make sure that they nail the first poor bastard good and proper as that will set a precedent. Failing to do so will result in nobody paying. Also, when they open that floodgate, the judicial system will be completely overwhelmed.

Heard on the news OUTA will support the first "victims" of e-tolls prosecution with lawyers. Good stuff!

I am not surprised, what did however surprise me was that there is no surprise

Damn...

From the headline I thought maybe SANRAL had actually tried to prosecute someone.

They cannot even get the sending of regular bills right, HTF does anyone expect them to even begin slapping a court case together?

They'll make **** up, like they have been all along. Then they'll get one of their subcontractors to conduct an "audit" of their numbers to justify them.

The work of the advisory panel on socio-economic impact of etolls will be submitted by 30 November, 2014.

I can save you the expenses and can reliably tell you that food prices went UP as a result of e-tolls, affecting everybody, and the poor are the hardest hit.
