E-toll prosecutions a step closer: report

Sanral will reportedly provide a bundle of documents to prove that a specific vehicle passed under e-toll gantries, and has not paid the bills. Each gantry passed constitutes a separate charge, she noted.

Road users have been unable to receive e-toll bills due to an ongoing strike as the South African Post Office; Mulder, however, is quoted as saying that liability for the fees is established as soon as a car passes under the gantry – not upon receiving and invoice.

“This (prosecution) has to happen more now. It is not as if one has to charge 500,000 people. You just have to see that something is happening. Nobody wants a criminal record,” Mulder said.

****ing bullies.

The e-toll system currently accounts for about half of Sanral’s R47 billion debt, and will take over 22 years to break even, according to Mulder.

Before that time you will be bankrupt. Idiots!

And in more relevant, and probably honest, news - the etroll outlet in Cresta has vanished without a trace

The outlet in Sunninghill has also been replaced with a room sized advertising board, good ridden..

I have not seen any "Customers" at the Centurion Lifestyle kiosk for several weeks now.

last Wednesday one of the three "Workers" was fast asleep (they probably take turns).

I'm shaking in my boots now....

Sanral can just ****-off. They can't even police taxi drivers. Now we should worry.

They must keep sending the bills. I only have 1 request. Can they make it the same softness as 2-ply? Could save a lot on bog-roll.

I am still waiting for any kind of documentation showing tolls I incurred. I guess I shouldn't hold my breath while the PO is on strike.

(And on the PO, I heard that in some cases the striking workers have destroyed post in some centres. Not sure if true. But this means that I may never get proof of use of the toll roads.)

Dream on and ┌П┐(•_•)┌П┐ you b 1 t c h. Think you can just scare everyone like little kids! Ain't paying

Not paying either.

Hey, here's an idea. Let me put up a camera outside my house, and send everyone a R1 bill when they drive past. However, if it is a government vehicle that drives past, or if the driver looks like a prick, let me simply magically increase the bill to R1000, with 20% interest every month.

^ How I feel about discrimination against getting tagged like a sheep. Who has the right to say the price goes from R3 to R17, and then add interest over time? In your dreams buddy. Time you take a wake-up call.
