E-toll registration outlets stand empty

This article really brightened up my day. Good to see Gauteng-aleng-ers standing together. To SANRAL and the whole e-Toll project:

VOETSEK!

Must be getting desperate, even got the treasury to release a lie about how it supposedly makes economic sense.

There's a booth in the East Rand mall as well, I walk past it often and on the weekend I saw the first person ever register there...I almost wanted to tell her she's an idiot!

Me too, although it really doesn't affect me in CT at this point, I am glad to see everyone banding together to stick to these idiots who decided the etoll system was a good idea.

walk past a booth every time i go shopping never seen anyone registering

Sanity prevails! Just a pity that it's our money being squandered to rent the shops and pay the staff....

question: what happens to me if i drive through the gates of hell in gauteng? i'm from durban and never signed up for e-toll. do i get to use it for free? is so, what's stopping people from simply registering their cars in another province?

you will get an invoice.

They SAY they will bill you - they also very nicely offer a day pass for 50 ronts.... I suggest you take option 1 and dispute the bill IF IT EVER REACHES YOU

I have no intention of registering, THEY can go through the effort of sending me an invoice, if it ever arrives, as Bundu says!
