E-tolling postponed by a month

The implementation of Gauteng’s e-tolling system will be postponed for a month, after an agreement between the Congress of South African Trade Unions and the ANC, the ruling party said on Thursday.

Leaders of Cosatu and the ANC had earlier met to receive a report from the task team on the Gauteng Freeway Improvement Project.

The postponement will allow for more time to explore alternative funding for the e-tolling system.

Not sure, I suppose they can have an emergency cabinet meeting.

The court can also still stop the implementation on Monday.
