Hi peeps..

i've got a friend who has received an e220??? from autopage ...

running vista 32bit...as soon as the stick is entered - the autorun pops up and mobile partner is installed.

however - it doesn't detect the hardware at all in mobile partner?

there are NO unknown items/?items in the device manager...

any ideas?

can one use gingg's tool? or should i d/l VMC?

If Atonf sees this his answer would be MDMA,

I know that the older E220 modems needed a firmware update to make it compatible with Vista. It might be possible that this unit still has the old firmware on it. Try downloading the firmware from http://www.vodacom.co.za/services/vodacom_broadband/downloads.jsp and run the update. Remember...SIM CARD TO BE REMOVED BEFORE STARTING THE UPDATE!!!! Also, the firmware update needs to be done on a XP machine.
