Hi Guys.

Need some advice please.

I am currently using a Huawei E220 modem with the Vodafone dashboard V3.2.1.156 with no hassle so far. I recently got the Huawei K3765 USB stick modem. When i got the E220 modem i had major problems with the vodafone dashboard and ended up using the Mobile Connect dashboard from Huawei. I'm a little aprehensive about pluging in the new modem which will probably load a new version of the Vodafone dashboard and have problems again.

Does anyone know of any problems with the K3765 modem and the vodafone dashboard or can i plug it in and go?

If you have a Huawei K3765 model you should be able to cancel the auto install and just carry on using the Huawei dash. If it is a ZTE (K3765-Z) you will need to use VMC or the ZTE dash (search the forum).

Huawei Mobile Connect was replaced by Huawei Mobile Partner. Provided your new modem is Huawei and not ZTE, you should be able to use Mobile Partner with both modems.

Thanks for the replies. It is the Huawei K3765 modem and not the ZTE modem. I have been using the VMC dashboard. Do you rather suggest me using the Huawei Mobile Partner dashboard or can i stay with the current version of VMC?

If the current version of VMC is working fine for you then just continue to use it.

@Iam3G: You link is broken. I think Vodacom took down the old site or something.

New Link for Vodacom Software Download Page

If you're running Windows XP or Vista - I recommend - Application Software - VMC 9.3.6.zip

I'm not sure of the newer modems are supported by the older VMC Lite versions? They still might be, but I've never tested that theory.

I see that they still don't have the link for the newer Windows 7 version of the software - VMC 9.4.4.17702 - even though it was on the older Vodacom download page.
