I have been experiencing some strange things with my my E220 wireless modem when used with a Vodacom sim.
After changing the dashboard to Mobile Partner, it worked very well with my prepaid Vodacom card and data bundles.
Recently I have had trouble with the modem/software not finding a network with the Vodacom card installed, although the same card works fine in an E620 pc card modem, and in 3 different cellphones.
My Virgin prepaid card is fine in the E220 (but only gets EDGE connections).
MTN prepaid sim also works fine.
I may have to go with this, although the Vodacom system was working well, with a [reported] 3.6m connection.
I believe Vodacom has the best HSDPA coverage.
Pricing is about the same as MTN (38c p/mb on a 500 mb bundle)
Virgin is the slowest with only EDGE, and a bit more costly at 50c p/mb ... BUT they are flexible as there is no need to buy & set up a data bundle ... (which is a mercy, with their support).
Any comments welcomed.
Regards
Richard

Where was this reported?

More correctly, that is what Windoze reports via the popup, but Windoze is oblivious to the actual HSDPA connection downlink throughput...

Which leads to my initial question of where it was reported. Was just making sure...
