E272 installation problem

The driver installation is included with the Software installation, so installing VMC 9.3 without any device to use would be pointless.

Yes I did download the full VMC 9.3.0.9237 software from vodacoms website still nothing. If I was able to install the drivers separately from the vmc setup maybe that should work. After some time on google I saw some posts on the E220 that does not support 64bit XP I seriously hope the E272 supports 64bit XP

Did you come right with this problem?

How did you get the drivers? I have exactly the same problem, but can't find anywhere I can get the drivers alone, the installer doesn't seem to extract them to local settings/temp as most installers do. Thanks.

I got the drivers installed but cannot connect to Vodacom, what settings do you use do you use to connect without the Vodafone software?

Hi All,

I'm using E272 with E220 drivers.
Do a search on the net for "huawei_e220_XP64".

I had to roll back the driver and point to new driver folder.
You have to point 3 times at this folder. To install 3 diffrent drivers.
Huwai driver is "2.0.3.8X.SP09" under XP64.

Roll back driver under "Universla Serial Bus Controllers"--->USB Mass Storage Device. It will create this one when you insert the E272 into the USB-Port.
The roll back driver under this one "USB Mass Storage Device.

Supply me you e-mail and I will mail you the driver.

Regards
