E66, E71 or N82 or another nokia?

According to the reviews (I haven't been able to find one to check physically) the 6220 has a crappy keyboard, but all the other specs stack up. It was my first choice until Vodacom couldn't tell me when they are actually going to start selling them, but I'm very happy with my new E71. I'm actually glad Vodacom don't stock the 6220, cos if they did, I might very well have taken it without even looking at the E71.

E71 is good, I agree, but what u paying for it?

It's on a talk 130s contract at R300 a month paid by the company :), and R599 once off paid by me :(

the only big hype about the n85 is the oled screen....they say it is one(if not the best) screen on a nokia contrast and precision wise...otherwise same as n82...other diff is feature pack 2 of course which the n82 does not have...but all in all all phones you mentioned are very similar:-)

Not a bad price, but I really like the 5mp xenon and the 30fps video recording on the recorder. With MTN, the Anytime 350 package gives you 3 hrs of calls! Also, has the latest and greatest Nokia UI tricks. For me imaging, price and GPS is important. While I would love the keyboard and steel finish of the E71, I feel I'm gaining more for the loss of the KB.

I might still go E71 though, I'm BB user and I really love the KB, it is quite a major factor after having one. I love it. Damn phones!

sorry, just saw your choice...both 6220 and n78 have ok keyboards but not great. but i am sure you will det used to the phone ergonomics...which ever you choose

Colin whats your GPS deal with VC?

Stuck on the other thread - it's 12 months on the GPS.

And I can confirm that the camera is pretty poor - the flash is surprisingly good, much better than on my N80 it has replaced, but the colour balance is off - very purple, and that seems to be across all E71. There is some speculation that a firware upgrade may fix (or at least iprove) that, but as I wanted email, internet, excel and word functionality, I am happy.

While I'm talking about the quick office, the one on the E71 is licensed for editing to, whereas the N78 and the 6220 are view only, you need to throw a further $20 into the internet to get editing - which causes hassles everytime you hard reset the phone or re-flash it.

just read the E71 review, its got some nice plusses, the decision is frustrating, the deal with MTN is R350 for 350 anytime. Also a good deal. I wanted a decent camera though.

The other plus in favour of the 6220 (if I remember correctly) is the video out - useful if you want to use the GPS in the car - you can stick it onto a bigger screen that way. On the other hand you could just buy a Garmin Nuvi. ;)
