From my laptop at work I purchased the Spore creature creator. To download and install it, I had to use EA's piece of **** proprietary downlaod manager.

I downloaded the file and then copied the whole EADM folder on my memory stick to install on my home PC.

Once I got home I installed the EA download ****er and then copied the data across from my memory stick.

The only problem is, it doesn't recognise the data I copied across and keeps trying to re-download the full 300MB file. Is there any way around this?

BlueCollar, I had the same problem when I downloaded the BF2142 expansion pack, it's a total disaster that program!

I can't help you, I refuse to use it again after the problems I had.

My advice, rather buy the damn thing somewhere else! :( (which is useless advice I know :( )

I've looked all over the Web, and it seems my only option is to re-download the file.

Here's a big **** YOU to EA.
**** YOU VERY MUCH.

Dude, you should've seen how I carried on!
I downloaded BF2142 Northern Strike like 4 times before I got it working.
I phoned EA (the cellphone number in the manual) and complained, he himself (shane I think) said he hates that program but he can't really provide support, he is just middleman if so to speak.

So anyways, I was told NOT to use it again, rather just buy the package (which I could do from Take2)

I didn't, as I got it working eventually but OMG bru... I was on a warpath.

That EA Downloader is the sh1ttest piece of RUSHED software I've ever seen from EA!

It's weird they haven't bothered to fix it since I last used it.

Some kind of warning before you start the download would be nice. Like: "WARNING: do not attempt to download files on any PC other than the one you plan to play this game on" (or something).
