EA mum on Titanfall SA cancellation

I can imagine that thanks to special interests, the South African market is more trouble than its worth.

So firstly they shun us with the Xbone crap, now their games are not even being released to us.Is there anyone out there that still wants an Xbone in this country?Clearly MS dont really give a flying f about us anymore.

SA isn't even a blimp on the radar for Microsoft, even in terms of Xbox 360 sales over the past 7 or 8 years. The amount of XBONES that MS will sell here won't even be the worth the effort for them, so they aren't in a rush to bring it in.

Probably has something to do with servers, although the beta was definitely playable on UK servers.

We all play Diablo 3 on European servers with ping of 250+ milliseconds, yet Activiosn/Blizzard happily sold us the game, along with every COD game and EA sells us Battlefield without hesitation too.

So if Diablo, COD, Battlefield, every console MP game work just fine with European servers and nobody complains (mostly), then why can't we have Titanfall? Do they only sell to countries with an average of < 100 millisecond ping?

Who cares? Just another FPS. We have enough of those already.

Start focusing on other genres please.

We're a big enough blip for them to notice. In the first six months of the Wii U's launch, 50k Xbox 360 consoles were sold in the same period. 400k PS3s and more than double the number of PC gamers means that we're a big enough market to make a profit out of.

Whether it's the kind of profit they want is another story altogether.

Thats a blip.

Yeah the game is very over-hyped and very limited in many aspects, don't know what the fuss is about.

So go buy a key on http://offgamers.com/

They'll sell keys for ~R400, and I bet you can activate them on Origin here.

* I haven't tried it, nor do I intend to play another Origin game in my life. Ever.
