Friend was on honeymoon in Ceres in 1969 when the big earthquake struck. The whole front facade of the hotel fell into the street. He only found out when they came down for breakfast the next day. Caused some red faces, people were more circumspect then, especially in the country.

I would feel more vibration letting out of a silent fart on a leather seat than a 5.9 so far away.

Then again after staying in NZ for a couple of years my mind just block that **** out.
