Easiest way to register a CC?

I think you can buy some "shelf" cc's on the internet and then they do an amendment to the members details afterwards - but i am no expert on this.

I googled it and came to this: http://www.pty-online.co.za/ - PS i have NO idea if this company is decent or not, just the first one that appeared in the search results.

All i know is that you must make sure the shelf cc hasn't traded before as it can result in lawsuits etc against you if the cc owes anyone money etc.

It was one of the services my accountant at that stage offered. Was in 2006 and he charged me like R300.

There are cheaper options when doing it yourself, but I couldn't be bothered with a) completing the docs and b) driving to Pretoria.

If you want quickest easiest than go with the accountant route. I think most of them offer this service.

Hi,

As far as I know, legislation now prohibits the creation of CC's as the new companies act has taken effect and allows for the same flexibility that CC's offered.

The company will have to register as a Company under the act. The CIPRO site : http://www.cipro.gov.za/products_services/cc_registration.asp has allot of information and news.

I'm not sure about the exact cut of date for CC registrations, but I think its already happened

Cipro is saying that the new companies act is expected to come into power from 1 October. Until then they say CC's can continue to be registered.

If the cut off is in October....: would it be better to try register CC's now or would it be better to wait til October & register whatever it is they will be offering then?
