Are any of the ISP using them?, why don’t i ever hear anything about them?
they have been operational in SA since last year if im not mistaken?

According to EaSSy, quite a few ISP's have purchased redundant bandwidth from them.
Biggest is Telkom (Go figure!!!).

I believe MWEB and IS have also obtained a few redundancy links on EaSSy.

I wonder if any ISP's are going to use EaSSy as their main international outbreak, seems everyone is purchasing EaSSy for redundancy...

Then why do we always hear when seacom is down that everyone is on SAT-3 redundancy?, why not EaSSy?, why is everything about Eassy kept so quite?, we have a submarine cable 3 times bigger than SEACOM, 11 times bigger than SAT3 and 26 times bigger than SAFE, but we never ever hear anything about them
Very Very Strange if you ask me

/shrug.

Been out of the "give a damn"-game with ISP's for quite a while now.
Most likely it has something to do with quantity and Bulk discounts.
