Anyone else getting trades made on their accounts that they did not execute themselves?
The latest one even has someone else's name as the "Trader" - usually its my own.
I'm thinking some kind of fraud is happening over there, maybe some guy making R2 a day from a couple thousand customers, and they never notice or care about the small amount. The trade before this last rogue trade was an ETF buy for R5k, commission of R12.

What authority would this get reported to and is it even worth doing it?

If it isn't fraud then it's almost worse, just a totally jerry-rigged system they're running.

I've just had this as well. Just a few minutes ago got an email about a trade I never made. I think it might be a glitch, since it was a USD trade, and I didn't have a USD balance left. Will need to login and see though.

Edit: No, it was an actual trade using my remaining balance. But I remember something about setting my account to re-invest dividends, so it could be that.

You sure it isn't a corporate action like a rights issue, dividend in specie, unbundling or consolidation etc?

EE has borked up my dividend payments in the past (my personal experience), by either over or under crediting.

I just chalked it up to it being a developing platform (back then) and probably their processes weren't ironclad.

If you download your entire transaction history (not sure if it's still available as a spreadsheet download), the number of corrections and anomalies I would find was concerning.

Let this be a lesson to all of you - keep your own set of records. Keep track of buys, sells and dividends due and make sure they reflect accordingly. You need to keep your own books (if you're serious about investing).
