This is the response I got when I first logged a ticket with them regarding the wrong amounts on my sars statement:

"We and SARS are different entities.You would need to consult a tax consultant." and then the ticket was closed :X3: :ROFL:

What utter bullshit. I have 2 tfsa’s (at 2 diff firms, their info is also wrong that they uploaded)

These firms including EE better wake up.

Sars dont play around

Can I use an FNB Global account with EE for their USD Account?

In my view no, FNB investments sucks! Thats why I moved all my FNB investments to EE.

Example, with FNB you cant just move portfolio’s (funds), you need to sold it first, then move it. And its a costly exercise

If you mean funding your EE usd account with an fnb global payment, then yes I believe you can but fnb charges a fee (I think minimum R285/0.55% - best to confirm this fee again from them)

Thanks guys, yes I mean for transferring money in or, more importantly, out.
The EE site says you need an account that can accept dollars if you want to take money out of your EE USD account. The implication being that a standard SA bank account won't do. Is that correct, or am I misunderstanding?
 
I see they have a new .io domain and want to "attract more clients globally". Their site cannot even handle regular old SA load :/ Let's hope this means they fixed those problems.

Noticed that as well. Was pretty freaked out. Did they announce it or anything? Was hesitant to put in my password...
 
How is EE for US EFT's? Anyone care to share experience? Looking to invest about a $1000 a month.

IS EE worth considering or should I look at another platform?

EE is decent for buy and hold. If you want to actively trade you're probably better off on another platform

I've got about $2000 worth sitting in EE and it's done nicely. Experience is about the same as local.

If I were you I'd save up and transfer the money every three or four months, otherwise you're going to pay quite a bit in commission and Swift fees. Nothing to do with EE, everything to do with how you get the dollars there.

If you want to take the money offshore why not use the EE forex service?

So no way to transfer it from EE$ back to EEZAR?
