Easy Equities good or bad?

Has anyone transferred funds from a bank TFSA into the EE TFSA?

I see you have to mostly just fill in some form, but they're asking for contact details of the broker . In my case the funds are just in a TFSA account with ABSA.

Yes I did recently. Its basically contact details where the TFSA is now. Contact Absa (TFSA department and just ask for someone details who is working in the "moving" leg of things).

Take note, I heard that ABSA is pretty useless in this regard (TFSA moving).

If I were you, just complete the details from and to, and submit it to ABSA, making sure you have your TFSA EE details is filled in, and follow up every 2 weeks with EE.

Cool thanks. Will give it a go

Strange thing happened on my account this morning. Was going through my holdings and BOOM logged off. My user credentials don't work anymore. This happened to anyone else?

Maybe a noob question but does EE allow after hours trading?
Edit: more info - specifically US.

Hi Guys

Long time reader, first time poster.

Been using EE for about 2 years now. Primarily the USD account. While the platform has some issues, i think it is fine for buying and holding investors.

The problem i have come across now is the Upper Deposit Limit. Not a very visible piece of information displayed on the site. I was honestly not aware. On the idenity/KYC settings i have put as source of funds - Savings.

Source of the funds are a combination income savings and what could be considered inheritance money received from my parents.

The money is not directly related to a divestment of another asset.

Do i need to divulge and explain to them mine / my parents entire saving history as a source of the funds?

I have reach out to EE to ask exactly what they need, they are slow to get back to me.

Has anyone had any experience with with this and could give some advice. Appreciate any thoughts you guys have.

Cheers.

I did some this week through Standard Bank Shyft. Took about at least 1 day to reflect. Have you had any experience with this Upper account limit and the source of funds?

It's not related to your source of funds but rather the question they asked about your employment status.

Its the same with banking. Apply for a bond or a loan, whats the source of funds

Alot of guys use cash only and never pay sars/taxes.

I get the source of funds question, it's never checked in any case. It's the extra one about your employment status that determines your deposit limit which is just BS.
