Just got an email that my account has been closed.

You can transfer unit trusts or ETF's without selling, at a small fee per fund, if the new company have them listed as well.

Try to buy at close as a full share, then move. See the rest as "school fees for life", and move on ....

No, I have not even tried transferring out of EE to another company. They cannot even transfer between two internal accounts, between two accounts managed by the same person (parent & minor). Been there, done that and paid the school fees.

I deposited R3k to my EE ZAR account over the weekend, got notification on the system that my deposit was received, but in my available funds its only showing R2719.32 - any body experience some thing like this?





I have logged a ticket with support yesterday morning. If you have any details of somebody i can escalate this to, please PM me, as i want to pull the trigger on buying something today.

Every month - this deposit was ad hoc, but i have a debit order which runs every month. So i expect i am exempt from any fees.

Good chance they will close your ticket and not assist you.
If this happens tweet purple and tag Charles Savage and any other exec you can find.
This works i have done it multiple times.

I see all the usual charges for my last trades and some new dividends which were processed, stuff like:

Broker Commission; Settlement and administration; Investor protection levy (IPL) and administration; Securities transfer tax and administration; Value Added Tax on costs (VAT); Reserve funds for Buying Instruction; Dividend Withholding Tax etc.

Nothing which should bring the balance down because my settings are so that the amount invested is inclusive of transaction fees, and dividends are re-invested
