I logged a support ticket yesterday for my error posted above.
Got an email response today "If its still a problem, please reply to this email".
Tried now again, same issue.

The email address is related to => [email protected]

I got the same automated response to my support ticket ... except mine had nothing to do with their outage :cautious:

not just "links" between them btw, same animal entirely:

I must say, day 4 now, and EE Support cant explain this to me :

They are keep reply with : How to fund your account.

Its while I am buying I am getting that.

If I could rate their support -> 0 / 10

Been waiting 8 days for a manual bank verification since they don't automatically verify with my bank. No response from the support ticket created and no replies to my follow ups. :cautious:

This is creaky. I received the email saying my bank account had been verified but the website still says awaiting verification so I cannot deposit funds. Time running out for TFSA 🤬 . Logged a ticket but who knows?

Log a ticket ... and tweet them, tagging EE!

EE = bad, always bad

Website = 1/10
Any stock information = 0/10
They charge you an EXTRA fee for putting in a stop loss, if you can figure it out = 0/10
Fees = 0/10

Any other choices = not really...

Plain and simple, another South African company ripping people off

How are they ripping people off?

They are the cheapest of the lot for most people.

I just bought $10,000 worth of a stock in the US and it cost me, $0.35
I just bought $1,000,000 worth of an ETF in the US and it cost me, $0 <---- read that again
I just bought $10,000 worth of a stock in SA on the US market and it cost me, $52.90

If you are buying or selling $100 or R500 here and there every few months, sure you don't notice anything. But when you are moving millions a month or a year, then it is disgusting to say the least.

And this is not just the US market, it is extremely high for SA stocks, UK stocks, etc etc etc

Read what I said again…most people.

For those volumes yes, this is not the correct platform but it never was trying to be.

So your entire statement is wrong 99% of the time for everyone else and nobody is getting ripped off when they are buying/selling cheaper than anyone else.

It is not a trading platform, never tried to be.

no one said anything about high volume trading.... dah
I CLEARLY mentioned 1x single transaction

do you not think its kak when your bank charges you R500pm when you could get a bank account for almost nothing? no you just suck up the R500.

so you are 99% wrong... peasant

That bolded part is who EE is aimed for. A person doing ~R160 000 transactions is not the EE target market, so you will experience friction (in price in this instance).

Do you take a load of refuse to the dump with your Ferrari, or do you rather use a bakkie?

I promise you it is not just EE doing this in South Africa, they are all doing it... have you noticed that all the major banks and EE platform all looks very very similar... hmmmm

Show me various brokers and the rates they charge, they are all a blatant rip off, same as the banking system in this country.

Yeah, but EE is the most affordable for small fry, who cannot justify cost of SB and other banks share platforms, big spenders can use IBKR.

When you say they look the same, do you mean their share platforms? The people who say EEs one look are childish lying?

My Capitec account doesn't seem a rip off, hell, can't even buy a McDonalds meal with what I pay them a month.

Big chain retailers, now there is a rip off!

How do those brokers survive?

Are business not allowed to make money now?

There is no rip off here, they are the cheapest by far in this segment.

I know what you're trying to do... 👀

Easy Equities = 2 million registered users
over 1 million active investors

2024, they celebrated 58,000,000 trades processing R171 billion <--- BILLION

They are most certainly not some little small fry trading platform.

but R171B would only result in an income of R6M using your $0.35 example? I'm sure their trading licence on the JSE costs 10x as much
