EasyEquities & SatrixNOW - Share Databases?

I tried to register on SatrixNOW (www.satrixnow.co.za) using the same username I have with EasyEquities (www.easyequities.co.za).

SatrixNOW said my username is already in use. I tried to login with my EasyEquities password with that in use username on SatrixNOW and it was denied. All good so far; but then I used the Forgot Password tool and put in my EasyEquities username on SatrixNOW. I received the forgot password email from info@easyequities.co.za for my EE account on SatrixNOW.

So... why is there this semi sharing of data. Should I not be able to then login with my EE account on SatrixNOW. Clearly there is a link?

Follow up questions then as I am writing this:
- Can you then have a SatrixNOW and EE account linked to the same email address? (probably)
- then I need to use different usernames. :/ Seems meh.

They do share some information because that platform is run on the EasyE engine.

It's an interesting design choice that a username on EE can't be used on SatrixNOW. Would have rather made usernames unique per institution? Assuming EE might want to rollout the EasyE engine further in future also.

The system then most likely will allow multiple registrations with a single email address also.

Not wrong, just interesting. I am sure they have reasons for the design.
