eBay Wii...I've started...

When he starts going squint looking at the fuzzy graphics and can't move his elbow anymore, he'll settle down to a nice quite game of Gears against human opposition . . . . ;)

When I throw my Wiimote through the 50" plasma.....then there won't be anymore gaming!!

:L:

Original strap. It was bought before Nintendo was taking recalls and issuing out new straps.

I'll try and enhance the strap myself with fishing line or something.

But I doubt I'll be going crazy like some people I've seen - hehe

:L:

Actually I've just bought the new thicker straps from eBay. $6 to two straps. Might buy more when I buy more Wiimote's.

but I mean seriously....do you really even need the srtap...eralistically...surely you can just hang onto the thing. does the intensity of your swing/throw/etc have a bearing on what happens in game?

Spoke to my bro on MSN last night ...he also recently scored a Wii in teh UK....says he walked into a store where there were tons of peeps looking to buy one, but none on teh shelves. HE walked into the store and asked at the counter...to which the sales assistant replied, YeS, We have one more....he says as he walked out he received many looks of death!! But anywyas, he says the Wii Rocks , and I quote, hard as ****.....I feel like I will be the last one to get one!!?!!?!?!! :( anyone willing to inviet me round to their house....I will bring pie.....heheehehhe

Well from what I've played. Your hands get sweaty. And the controllers are pretty smooth...so a little bit of moister...and you've got flying Wiimotes.

I've also ordered those silicon rubber gloves to the Wiimotes.

Also the harder you swing the fast the ball will go. I know in Wii tennis...if I serve really hard...I get an ace and you see this little super speed shadow behind the ball. hehe

Also the hard you swing in baseball (if you can actually hit the ball), the better chance you'll get a homerun.

I know its practically cheating, but a nifty little trick i found with these is to just flick your wrist instead of taking a full out swing, hit way more homers like that :D

I was playing baseball yesterday and I'm finding it very difficult.

I either miss the ball, or I hit it, but it's a fowl.

yeah, it take a bit of time to get into it, but with a bit of patience you'll get the hang of it, dont get me wrong i'm no master, but the number of fouls i hit has started to lessen :)

My Wii not arrived yet. Will be two weeks since posting on 16 Jan next week...starting to think it wont be coming.....but I know that realistically it can take up to a month......but at this stage iit wont stop me from getting para!!!!

Patience!!! Give is a week.

If 2 weeks exactly is on 16-Jan. Go and check the Post Office the very NEXT day, maybe after 1pm. If still nothing give it an extra week.

I know with mine, I didn't get a slip in my post box, so I went to the counter and asked to see the black book where they write all the international deliveries in and ask for any inventory for international deliveries from America. This was after 4pm on the exact 2 week mark. Luckily they had it.

:L:

P.S. - also I just thought of this. Yours might take a little longer, if your seller did not mark the package with a lower value, meaning it might sit at customs for a while until they can figure out how much they should charge you - or more likely how to convert $400 into rands and then multiple that by VAT and TAX. Could take a while, since they are using the fingers and toes.

Hehehhhehe..well I ahve been to the post office before for other packages and asked them to check, but they have never been that helpful. Have always also told me that i HAVE to wait for that magical piece of papaer in the post!?!?!!?
