I never knew ECN offered ViBE and IAX2 ...

ECN dont support ViBE or IAX2. We're busy integrating 'Bandwidth Optimisation Methods' into our Reporting, these very Protocols are the answers, thus I know for a fact that ECN isnt on this bandwagon just yet. Check onto our website (www.whichvoip.co.za) around the end of Jan and we will have this Questions Results posted for all the providers we have onsite.

Why would you want to randomise trunks ? It sort of defeats the whole object of LCR (least cost routing)

The previous post is interesting in the fact that if companies have critical inbound services, the last thing they need is a BRI !

BRI can provide backup access for critical services if you understand how to use it and depending on your primary access media.

We are an ECN customer and I must be honest I am not happy with their service. The VOIP side of things work exceptionally well but good luck getting any sort of assistance if you run into a problem.

They need to wake up and realize they are a major player and not some Mickey mouse operation. When dealing with them it feels like ECN is a company that was bought from people that really knew what they were doing and is now run by amateurs.
