I'm looking at a 2TB Seagate Eco Green HDD (5900rpm) to store my ever growing TV series collection. Will I notice any difference due to the lower rpm? I will not be installing any software on it whatsoever, it will be used for storage only.

For storage these drives are excellent. The same with WD Green drives.

What about running 4 of them in a raid 5

They are fine with software raid but not hardware raid
