EDS to cut salaries

In a surprise move from HP/EDS CEO Mark Hurd employees will have to lower living standards if they wish to stay on board.

EDS and HP are going to cut their employee's pay by up to 15% for executives and 5% for normal staff.

He believes that employees are much more likely to accept a pay cut of 5% than one of 100% as they were planning to lay off up to 27000 employees.

So glad I don't work for them any more...

A bigger cut for executives than normal staff? Thats kinda cool actually.
Usually if bonusses for execs and layoffs for staff.

Actually, it's 2.5% as from May.

Quite right.

the minimum cut you can expect is 2,5%. But the bulk will get a cut of 5% (HP staff).
