In a surprise move from HP/EDS CEO Mark Hurd employees will have to lower living standards if they wish to stay on board.
EDS and HP are going to cut their employee's pay by up to 15% for executives and 5% for normal staff.
He believes that employees are much more likely to accept a pay cut of 5% than one of 100% as they were planning to lay off up to 27000 employees.
So glad I don't work for them any more...
