Dont we that have kids at school know that Education in crisis, its more than a crisis, its a litteral Fup due to we all know who's experiments.

During the past two years, the South African education system ejected 535 000 people from school without any passing certificate and a very uncertain future.

Without doubt these (school leavers) will join the ranks of the unemployed, says Finweek. At this time citizens between the ages of 20-24 represent 14% of the labour force, but are already over represented among the unemployed, accounting for roughly 27% of that number.


Add to that last year's report by Education Minister Naledi Pandor that less than half of the 675 132 learners who started school in 1999 actually made it to matric.

Of the 564 775 matriculants who wrote the year end exam last year, more than 200 000 failed

I would like JK8 and extermin8tor to explain and justify this little hiccup or "dent" But we all know they wont.

So now we have the lack of power, the contaminated water and the faltering education system all as a balls-Up's

Not to mention:
The crime
Police ran by criminals
Criminal Ministers and presidents to be
Total collapse of road infrastructures
Collapse of Inland affairs
Collapse of licensing authorities (cars)
 
The education system has been going to crap for years now. My mother knows 3 teachers in the public school system and you would NOT BELIEVE what happens over there. GROSS mismanagement of money.

I know of a white Afrikaans public primary school who had its government funds cut by something like 75%. They have almost completely been cut off. All they can rely on is fund raisers and good will charity to keep the school going. The school next to them is about half the size and gets a LARGE sum of cash every year by government. They know the official figures...

Anyways, the school is completely dilapidated. The paint is chipping off the walls and roof. The kids went and broke off all the handles of the doors (they have no respect, and the teachers dont do anything to stop them). Now i hear at the end of the day, they take boulders and roll it infront of the doors to keep them closed. The principal however drives a flash new car every year. This btw was a kindergarden school which was kept in perfect condition before it was taken over.

Say what you will about the 'bad apartheid goverment' but money was never plain wasted like it is on such a large scale today.
 
Its a tragedy I agree but realistically speaking, the kind of schools those people go to, I dont think it makes ANY difference whether they go or not.

If Naledi Pandor has a short, medium, long term strategy in an attempt to remedy the problem, I'd like to see one.

The schooling was crap in my days. However, I get a feedback that things have generally not improved and have become worse in many schools in my area, if not most.

He had a brain flash (or was that a burst artery) in the bath one night and thought it through for 10 seconds then sold it to the stupid ANC as an solution and it got promulgated in no time. Now the experiment failed and like Erwin he will be the strong man appointed to fix the problem he created in the first place. Thus buy Buy South Africa. Hello incompetence and a literate nation.

They should present their case to the EU and various other foreign/international bodies, including UNESCO and UNICEF. It may
do some good in getting them some funds. The internet and email are virtually free.... it may get them somewhere.
