Just big enough, with about 5 to 10mm gap on the sides of the Basic. So I know they splash proof and you wont pull the cable from them.

As for overall house + geyer current monitor I would rather order something like tease NCD's products that I know would be fine in the junction box in the garage. Would be weary installing an Efergy oustide the house or in the roof for that matter.

Thats still up for debate.... I say not me, Sonoff said not them.

Unit replaced by Robofactory and new one is working fine so will see looking forward.

For those that not in the know, bright flash/spark using the app to switch, after manual switching was fine, house tripped, inverter kicked in continued with power supply and made sure the unit was fried. (The reason Inverter out now only has multi-plugs with trips and fuses going out and nothing plugged in directly)

Okay. That’s great. Unfortunately not everyone understands that this must be done.
What is the concern with the efergy in the roof. It’s only a ct coil that goes around the live cable and the transmitter runs of 2 AA batteries so no real hazard. Getting exposed to the elements may damage the transmitter though.

Surely inverter would have tripped if there was a short? Think the thing burnt itself out before inverter kicked in.

That is the theory, well not trip more like fuse blown as the Mercer inverter doesn't have any trip switches. Again rather safe than sorry ;)
