Well done politicians.

I like my politicians beating the hell out of one another. Makes for a more entertaining National Assembly.

maybe we should just allow pistols in the House and let them go Hamilton and Burr on each others ass

lets rock it like its 1799*

*actually 1804 but 1799 sounds better. If you don't recognize the reference:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Burr–Hamilton_duel
and IIRC duelling pistols were only banned from the Capitol in the 1970s when a review of security protocols revealed that while swords and canes and revolvers and semi-automatic pistols had been banned from the Capitol when the original rule concerning guns was written duelling pistols were excluded
Ironically the only justification to read the Second Amendment in the vain which SCOTUS did in Heller would necessitate allowing weapons as a means of political expression within the Capitol

So this is how it all started, I forsee trouble on the way

It's convenient that there's no mention of the fact that the Hottentots were here first. The other lot came wandering in from up north and took land by violent, forceful means. Convenient that this is not raised in the debates

Hottentots? You mean the Khoisan people? They also migrated from the North didn't they? Albeit a bit earlier, doesn't give the Bantu expansion any more reason just to take land. Unfortunately there isn't much real proof of history in the areas as much as the forced removal in the 20th century.

If they didn't have a flag, they are just s*** out of luck

The point for me is that people are fighting over land with no real evidence that that redistribution is going to improve the situation for our country. I'd rather have a stable, growing economy, than a second Zim, thanks. It seems as if we're treading frighteningly close to the route that lot took.

Remember, We had no problem living the way we did!

“Bring back our land. You stole our land. Ons soek die plaas.”

Jy kan soek, maar jy gan nie kry nie...

to try reclaim something you allege another stole from you, i would imagine actual ownership would have to be proved beyond any reasonable doubt.

there was a case theft in the magistrates court in cape town last year.
accused pleaded not guilty.
complainant was requested by the defendant's attorney to provide the court with proof of ownership of the item.
complainant was unable to provide satisfactory proof of ownership, only that in some point in time the item was in his possession.
prosecutor withdrew charges.
